The School recently had a two day inspection by Ofsted on the 18th and 19th March 2014.  Mr Martyn Groucutt was the Lead Inspector who spent time with the leadership team, observing lessons, meeting Governors and speaking with pupils.  We are thrilled to inform you that the school was judged as GOOD which is a brilliant achievement.  Ofsted reinforced this within their report by stating that ‘students achieve well’ ,’teaching is good throughout the school’, ‘Leaders have a clear vision of a successful school’, students and their parents believe that school is a safe place where students are well cared for’.  A big thank you to Parents and Carers who helped contribute during the inspection either via parentmail or with verbal/written comments.  Pupils were  great ambassadors for the School during their discussions with the Inspector and also the students who were selected to read to him.  Our journey to outstanding has now begun as we strive to make Elmwood simply the best!! The report is available to read on the Ofsted section of the website.

OFSTED – WE ARE GOOD!
