We are pleased to announce Elmwood School’s association with two new Teaching School Alliances across the borough of Walsall, these being Lindens Primary School and Evolve Teaching School Alliance – based at Barr Beacon. This is a massive achievement and recognition of the hard work and skilled professionals we have at Elmwood and in turn the skills we can ultimately share with other school settings across the borough (and beyond). Both host schools are outstanding in their own sectors but want an added dimension to strengthen the offer of school to school support; initial teaching training; leadership development; continual professional development; Specialist Leaders of Education and research and they have both certainly got that with Elmwood.

In addition to this, being part of an outstanding alliance enables our staff to further develop their knowledge and understanding through high quality training and coaching-which will benefit all the pupils of Elmwood now and in the future.
We are also extremely proud to announce the achievements of Mr Martin Hawkes (Specialist Leader in Education – Behaviour & Discipline) and Mr Daniel Whittaker (Specialist Leader in Education – Learning outside of the classroom) for achieving this accolade and we look forward to sharing their skills and knowledge with other professionals in need of that support.
