Having spoken to the transport companies (who we heavily rely on safely securing your child’s attendance to the school); Chair of Governor and fellow members of the Senior Leadership Team, we have taken the decision to close the school for Monday 25th January 2021 with an anticipated return on Tuesday 26th January 2021. This is due to the severe weather affecting many areas across the West Midlands and the potential for this to continue throughout the evening and early hours of Monday morning making travel to work unsafe for staff and pupils.

If you had a scheduled safe and well visit booked with a member of the Elmwood Team they will be in touch to re-arrange as it’s essential that each and every child and their families feel supported (as part of our COVID-19 response).

Those who require work please don’t forget to look at the activities planned on the pupil information page, self isolation resources and the self isolation challenge virtual website. Any problems requiring any log in details, again don’t hesitate to get in touch.

I look forward to seeing those pupils who are attending school on Tuesday 26th January.

Keep safe and enjoy the snow – I look forward to seeing so many of your snow creations posted on the schools Twitter page (or send them to mhawkes@elmwood.walsall.sch.uk)
