PRESTIGIOUS NATIONAL AWARD SCHEME!

 

About

Elmwood School, Walsall is a Local Authority Community Special School for pupils with SEMH needs is proud to confirm that one of its students Krystian Kastelik, has been short-listed for the International Category in the 2022 engage in their future National Awards. Mr Cross, Headteacher says “this is an example of Krystian’s capacity to not only live into the Elmwood Values but also to progress through the schools aims of “Learning The Way; Working Together and Building our Future”. Krystian has chosen many adventures throughout his 5 years at Elmwood and this has meant that he really has achieved the schools vision for all “to re-imagining your potential”. The whole community is extremely proud of Krystian and this recognition is our way of giving something back to Krystian to say thank you. 

Lynn Richards, member of the engage in their future Advisory Committee and Chair of the National Awards Judging Panel said – “The engage in their future National Awards is such an incredible scheme and it’s always such a privilege to judge the nominations. Every student that was nominated has achieved something uniquely amazing – whether it’s cohesive team work or personal resilience, innovation and creativity or sporting prowess. Every one of them fully deserves to have their accomplishments recognised and celebrated on a national platform as part of this unique scheme. Their progress and achievements – and the journey they’ve been on to get there – is truly inspirational”

About the engage in their future National Awards

The engage in their future National Awards is open to all member schools from across the organisation’s national network. The National Awards acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of students be it as individuals, teams or as a school. Nominations could be submitted against any of nine categories –

  • Outstanding Personal Progress
  • Outstanding Achievement
  • Outstanding Personal Resilience
  • Good Citizen Award
  • Innovation and Creativity
  • Team of the Year
  • International Award
  • Sports Student of the Year Award
  • Leaver Success Story

The 2022 National Awards Ceremony will take place on Thursday 30th June 2022 at the Chesford Grange Hotel, Warwick.

engage in their future is a charitable organisation that seeks to improve services for children experiencing social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) and was formed to enable Head Teachers working within SEMH education to address and influence issues affecting this sector locally, regionally, and nationally. It represents a collective group of likeminded leaders who seek innovative solutions to challenging behaviour in the learning environment and provides advocacy for those with challenging behaviour and those working with them.
