Elmwood School participates in a number of Charity fundraising events during the year. On these occasions students and staff are able to wear non uniform and dress appropriately for the occasion (paying a £1 contribution to take part), join in activities, purchase items and generally have fun!
Academic year (2020-2021) we have supported:
November – Children in Need. A non uniform day raised £92.00 for this good cause.
November – British Legion Poppy Appeal
October – Walsall Outreach with their harvest appeal collecting the goodies below from staff, parents/carers and governors:
Academic year (2019-2020) we supported:
Macmillan coffee morning – £107.75 for this good cause.
Armistice Day event – £47.50 raised for BLEMSA plus the sale of poppies for the British Legion Poppy Appeal (£60.14)
On Friday 15th November a non uniform day raised £77.50 which was donated to SWING, a local bereavement service, that has helped to support a number of pupils via counselling sessions.
Christmas jumper day and pie throwing at Acting Headteacher, Mr Lee Cross, raised £73.00 for the Walsall Homeless Angels.
Charity Christmas raffle organised by Jordan, a Year 7 pupil, raised £20 for the PDSA – see certificate below.

Week commencing 9th March 2020 pupils took part in various sporting events including a ‘beat Mr Bullock penalty shoot out’ event. As a result £20 was raised for this good cause.

We also supported Armistice Day on 13th November 2017 with the sale of poppies for the Royal British Legion when £129.23 was raised by selling poppies and other goodies. Well done to our poppy sellers Habib and Kacey.

£55 raised by wearing Christmas jumpers which was used to buy items for local homeless people.
