SPORTS DAY 2019

Sports Day 2019 was a tightly contested event battled out by the house teams of Murray, Wiggins, Ainslie and Ennis. Pupils threw Javelin’s, jumped over hurdles and sprinted to the finish to try to claim points for their house. Once again Murray house were victorious taking the trophy for the second year in a row. Ainslie and Wiggins battled out for second and Ennis came forth. Murray dominated in the KS4 event with Rico and Isaiah taking home many gold medals a piece. We look forward to future house events over the next two terms. There will be a Sports Relief and Tchoukball house cup in Spring term to look forward to. Maybe another house can finally knock Murray off their perch at the top. A big thanks to all those parents that turned out in great numbers for the event.

Inter House Competition

For Sports Relief 2018, the PE department organised two inter-house sporting events. The events took place at Manor Farm Community Centre. Well done to all those who took part in the events which included a variety of sports; handball, tennis, basketball, hockey, teambuilding and rounders. The upper school competition was won by Murray House who have continued to dominate the house competition for the upper school since the last sports day. The lower school winners were Ennis House, who narrowly won the trophy with an outstanding performance throughout. Mr Hawkes, PE Teacher, was very impressed with the enthusiasm and participation of the pupils throughout and a big thank you to all PE and supporting staff for helping to run the events.
