nts in Year 9 were given the opportunity to visit Kidzania in London, a custom built functional town, on Wednesday 8th February. KidZania gives students the confidence to challenge themselves and inspire them to explore a world of opportunities. Staff at Elmwood can now use the success of this trip to work with each individual young person, using their own personal experience at Kidzania as a springboard to thoughts of further education. Quotes from students included ‘the whole day was wicked and it helped me to see what I want to do when I am older’, ‘I loved training to fly planes and I earned my wings and ‘I loved all of it because it was so much fun’. A big thank you to the staff (Mr Middleton, Mr Whittaker, Mr Hinsley, Mr Damms, Mrs Cadman and Mrs Causer) who endured a very long day and made the event such a success.
