Craig Williamson, former pupil,  is representing Great Britain in the special Olympics taking place in Berlin from 17th to 25th June.  As you can see from the photos of Craig in his official kit and with the team, he looks very smart.

Craig flew from Heathrow on 15th June giving him a couple of days to acclimatise, ahead of enjoying the opening ceremony ahead of hockey matches commencing from 18th to 23rd June.  Craig flies back on the 26th following the closing ceremony on the 25th June.

Hockey is a demo sport this year and what a wonderful experience for Craig to be selected. Hockey is down as a live broadcasting sport. The divisioning games start at 1.30 pm on Sunday and Monday all day. The teams will be put into leagues according to functional ability. Then competitive games start on Tuesday. Craig is understandably nervous about the cameras but hopefully he will not notice that they are there and is able to enjoy all the action.

We are all very proud of Craig and wish him every success at the games.
